Positive: Great budget friendly hotel in Istanbul's Faith district. In a good location surrounded by good restuarants and bakeries. Hotel owner Umut is an exceptional and friendly host who knows how to look after his guests. Would reccomend if visiting Istanbul

Positive: the staff arranged a replacement room in Laos hotel nearby
Negative: the room had one double bed whereas we selected 2 twin beds. after a bit of argument the host provided replacement room in Laos hotel nearby. The hotel has no private parking despite description on the booking.com. it is extremely difficult to get to the hotel by car, so i had to leave the car on a paid parking by the metro station. Don't trust description on booking.com, always explicitly contact the hotel and ask for specific bed types and parking.
Summary: Misleading description, bad location for accessing by car, no actual parking

Positive: Although there was an issue with the room on their side, we had booked two rooms but received only one. They did everything possible to find us alternative accommodation nearby since their hotel was fully booked. The room was clean and exactly as shown in the pictures.

Positive: The receptionist was kind and tried his best to help us find another hotel with similar conditions nearby.
Negative: Our confirmed room at Hopefull Hotel was not available when we arrived. We were moved between different hotels on foot with luggage while my wife is pregnant, which was very stressful and exhausting for her. We were finally relocated to The BAIL Hotel, but during the night the elevator became unusable when we returned to our room. My pregnant wife had to use the stairs to go up and down two floors, which was difficult and unsafe for her condition. The next morning there was oil on the floor around the elevator area because of maintenance work, and the elevator was again unusable. Although the problem originally came from Hopefull Hotel, I was also asked to pay an additional 12 euros at the other hotel. Overall, the experience was stressful and not suitable for a pregnant woman.
Summary: Stressful relocation experience despite having a confirmed reservation.
